Today I’m sharing the five Nicole Diary water decals I received as a giveaway prize. I've never tried water decals before so I was really curious about how they perform, and I gotta say, they were a pleasant surprise!

As I have never used water decals before, I can't compare the application or quality of these to any other brand. But I can tell you that I had absolutely no issues with them, they were really easy to apply.
The first time I tried them I was a little worried because I simply didn't know what to expect. All I did was follow the instructions printed on the packaging and they worked really well.
They are very thin and flexible so you can move them around as much as you want to make sure you get the perfect placement. They don't break easily but you might want to be careful with them so you don't tear them. Because if you do, there's no going back, you'll have to use another decal! I'm actually surprised that I didn't tore any of them even on my first ever try, I guess it just shows the quality of them!
Another positive thing about these water decals is that one row has a white background and the other row has a transparent background. With a transparent background the decals can be layered over any color you want and that can totally change the final look of your manicure.
I decided to use a white base on all the manicures anyways just because I though you would be able to see the decals a bit better.
One more positive thing about them: their size. Each sheet has 10 decals but if you have short nails you might be able to cut them to size and do two nails with just one decal.
Now, let's get into the designs! I did five different nail designs to feature each set that I received.

For my first look I used Nicole Diary-01.

I started with Flormar P120 and Easy Paris 02 as my base colors. Then, I applied the whole decal on my pinky and went with this striped design on my ring finger. I finished with gold round and square studs from Born Pretty Store and top coat.

For my next look I used Nicole Diary-05.

I started with Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet and Easy Paris 02 as my base colors and applied the decal on my ring and pinky finger. I finished with gold round studs from Born Pretty Store and top coat.

For my third look I used Nicole Diary-11.

I started with Wet n Wild Yo Soy as my base color. On my middle and ring finger I painted half of the nail with Easy Paris 02 and applied the decal over it. On the other half I created a gold glitter triangle using Andreia 144 and finished with gold pyramid studs from Born Pretty Store and top coat.

For my fourth look I used Nicole Diary-23.

I started with Easy Paris 02 and Andreia 18 as my base colors. I helped myself with striping tape for the negative space on my pointer finger and then applied the decal on my middle and ring finger. I finished with gold round studs from Born Pretty Store and top coat.

For my final look I used Nicole Diary-32.

I started with Inocos Preto Cintilante and Easy Paris 02 as my base colors. On my pointer and pinky finger I painted half of the nail with Easy Paris 02 and applied the decal over it. Then, I applied the decal on my ring finger and finished with silver square studs from Born Pretty Store and top coat.
I can't say enough good things about these decals, I just love them! They are super simple to apply and really easy to clean around the nail as well. I also liked that they didn't smear or tear when I applied the top coat. Not to mention how beautiful the patterns are! I had a lot of fun trying these out and can't wait to use more.
